Its been the busiest of all busy wedding seasons, so sorry for the lack of features, new ideas, studio gossip and snap shots of stationery we’ve been creating. I keep asking myself where the time has gone, its been a blur and the studio has been under immense pressure and bursting at the seams with lots of goodies being made, wrapped and sent on their way to weddings across the globe! We’d love to see where some of our invites end up…
So with a whole treasure trove of lovelies we can’t wait to share we you we thought we’d kick off with one of the newest laser cut wooden artworks we’ve just made.
Penny and Mike came to us over a year ago and we made the wedding stationery for their special day. Then out of the blue Penny gave us a call, she had an idea … she wanted us to create a first anniversary present. Penny had seen one of our ‘Garden Party’ laser cut wooden artworks on the show room wall and she wanted a laser cut wooden artwork of their wedding invitation, the ‘Up and Away balloon’. With an added extra, she wanted their names and the date of their wedding adding underneath to make it bespoke.
We think the results are rather lovely and the beauty of the laser cut beech wood looks stunning against the white frame. Hand made and painted in Farrow and Ball Pointing White.
We make these laser cut wooden designs in the Garden Party, Whimsical Heart, Up and Away and the Boho Bride designs and they come framed or unframed.
Unframed artworks are £45.00, framed artworks are £125.00 and bespoke framed artworks with your names added are £140.00.
These are the ultimate keepsake pieces from your wedding so why not treat yourselves or surprise your new Mr or Mrs with one!
Or if you’re wanting to find a really unique wedding present or anniversary present just give us a call.
Sophie & Sam came to us to create a bespoke design for their wedding stationery.
The theme was for a beautiful winter wonderland wedding
at the stunning Belvoir Castle.
They knew exactly what they wanted so after a few initial sketches
we quickly had the design for the Save the Date card.
The scene was their summer proposal with Belvoir Castle in the back ground
set under a tree in leaf, with their little cat under a sign post
with the all important date of the wedding.
Save the Date bunting hung in the tree with little hearts,
with their initials carved in the tree.
We then designed the day invitations, complete with RSVP
postcards and guest information cards.
The same colour theme continued, printed in a beautiful dove grey on pure white card.
For the wedding invitation the scene changed, it was now winter and a
Christmas wedding, so the trees were without leaves and they were hung with
little snowflakes and fairy lights.
Sophie & Sam, now a bride and groom under a starry sky.
A lucky little pad heart pad lock hangs from the sign.
The postcard RSVP card
The invite was sent in a matching white pocket fold wallet.
We also made ever so cute little tags to hang around the favours
to match the rest of the stationery.
Finally, the thank you cards.
Thanks Sophie & Sam, we loved helping you to create your perfect wedding stationery!
So you’ve decided on tying the knot in winter and you’re thinking about themes. We adore an all-white winter wedding, or perhaps a Scandinavian red and white theme, or even ‘let it snow’ with snowflakes! We’ve recently been inspired and have been dreaming about a ‘Ski Lodge Winter Wonderland’ theme. It would have to start with finding your perfect country barn venue, with long wooden tables, cosy blankets on the chairs for your guests, candles – lots of them in Kilner jars, snow globe table numbers, white twigs and branches, snowflake decorations, pine cones & maybe even a reindeer!
Our dreaming of a ski lodge wedding started when we were asked to create some laser
cut antler place cards. They would be the perfect table decoration!
The little antlers were laser cut on the back and simply pop-up when the
place card folds over. They're so cute and effective!
A beautiful powdery soft grey card was chosen which would work so well with blush and neutral shades for a warm winter theme.
A colour palette like this is the perfect accent to a vintage ski theme.
Our calligrapher mixed a powdery white ink and chose a quirky style script.
Here they are all wrapped up and ready to leave.
Sometimes you just find it hard to say goodbye to some little lovelies!
What could be better than to receive this little lovely through the post!
Its every girls dream, not only did you get a gorgeous laser cut diamond ring
invitation to a Christmas preview but you also got a discount offer.
Mark & his daughter from Mark A Linley jewellers contacted us with an idea
and we loved creating the bespoke laser cut invitation design for them!

Hon & Chen married in September at Chandos House in London and
they came to us with the idea for a bespoke laser cut wedding invitation.
They wanted to incorporate the beautiful building they'd chosen for their
wedding, an impressive Edwardian building with the most stunning entrance doorway.
We loved the idea and so we started to sketch away adding within the design
the couple in front of Chandos House surrounded by bunting & hearts.
The date of their wedding is above the archway & their initials
are cut into the railings.
The day invitations are a traditional folded style, cut onto silk card with
a gorgeous emperor red inlay colour chosen by Hon & Chen
to reflect their Chinese heritage.
They also added a lovely little detail to the back, a Chinese calligraphy
motif which means 'double happiness'
Hon & Chen chose to have paper picado style evening invitations
cut onto emperor red card.
Louise & Jamie married in March at the beautiful Eaves Hall
in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire.
We created laser cut tri fold invitations for them, featuring the couple,
surrounded by woodland trees, overlooking their wedding venue.
Louise & Jamie carried the theme through to
their 'on the day' stationery items.
A laser cut table plan in turquoise blue & quartz.
Table names, in matching turquoise blue & quartz.
Place cards, printed on quartz in turquoise ink & hand finished
with turquoise calligraphy.
Louise & Jamie, we hope married life is treating you both wonderfully!
Lucy & Guy married by the beach in Marbella, Spain last week.
They came to us late last year to create stationery for their celebrations. They knew that they wanted wedding invitations that reflected the fun day they have in store for their guests. The finished bespoke design is a pair of flip flops (one finished with small silver diamantes!) surrounded by beach flowers, palm trees, shells & with their names cut though the middle!
The invitation is cut onto sandy, mink coloured card & the inside is printed onto contrasting quartz paper.
The design was carried over onto information cards made to slot perfectly behind the invitation & onto the top of their RSVP cards.
Natasha & Will came to us & asked us to create bespoke invitations for their wedding in June. Natasha knew that they wanted the finished design to be based upon lace & to feature roses. She also liked the idea of incorporating their initials.
The finished design is a beautifully intricate rose lace pattern with their initials, ‘N&W’ cut into the bottom corner. The design also has a hidden clue as to their secret wedding location!
We also created some pretty printed postcards with the same rose lace design to invite guests to a post wedding celebration here in the UK in July.
We’re busy creating ‘on the day’ stationery items for Natasha & Will (including some beautiful laser cut place cards!) as I type.. more on these here on the blog soon!
