Winter White Wonderland

Last weekend I took the studio pup for a lovely long walk around Staunton Harold. Armed with my camera I headed for Dimminsdale Wood as I was hoping to see the snowdrops out in all their beauty & we weren’t disappointed,  there was a wonderful white carpet of snowdrops all with their heads popping up under the wood land branches with the sunlight shimmering through.

It was like a little magical glade & reminded me of an old favourite childhood book, the Flower Fairys!

This got me thinking,  how beautiful would a snowdrop wedding be?

After a quick search I found the stunning Hodsock Priory which offers a ‘Snow Drop Wedding Package’.

What a wonderful idea if you’re planning a winter wedding with a difference!

We love the soft hues of coral, from delicate coral toned peaches, to warm soft corals and pinks. A beautiful colour for anytime of year.

It looks particularly great when used in combination with cool soft silvery grey, like this lovely mood board from Snippet & Ink:

Below are some beautiful mood boards to inspire your coral theme featured on Postcards And Prettiness Blog.

Our Laser-cut Cake from our Boutique Collection, shown below on Alabaster textured card, with a Coral Inlay and diamante. Clean, fresh and gorgeous!

Above is our Dove Laser-cut Wedding Invitation shown in Quartz, shimmery ivory card, with a coral inlay and pearls to give a vintage feel.

The cupcakes featured in our mood board are from the fab Cupcake Studio

Peonies and roses are perfect for this colour theme.

Simple But Stunning Floral Ideas…

We loved this posting from our friends over at Before Your Big Day.
If you have reached the end of your budget but still want a stunning floral display
try choosing one type of flower, buy from a wholesalers or flower market and arrange them yourself. Arrange big beautiful bunches or add some beautiful velvet ribbon or lace trim to tie up a small bunch into a bouquet. Effortlessly simple and totally chic! We are loving the Baby’s Breath (Gypsophilia) we think it will look lovely Georgia!! …so delicate and pretty!

Bouquets & Buttonholes – Nicolette Camille

Oh my word…do we love this lady! I came across the stunning floristry designer Nicolette Camille and had to share her beautiful arrangements with you. Nicolette lives in Brooklyn, NYC and produces the most stunning, natural and sophisticated bouquets. Take a look at her website here: www.nicolettecamille.com Here are a few of her beautiful floral combinations to inspire you. We love the wild, unfussy style, perfect for summer weddings, glorious flowers arranged in old glass bottles, jam jars, vintage vases. Be warned..this kind of arranging looks far easier than it is. To create such natural arrangements that look this good is a total artform! If you would like to contact Nicolette you can email her: nicolettecamille@gmail.com

Adding daisies to buttonholes gives a quirky, relaxed feel… and a lovely fresh splash of colour.

We love the delicate touches of pastel pink and pale green, in this overall white bouquet.

Snowberries look fantastic when they are in season.

Gorgeous little flashes of blue.

Jam jars on your wedding table look stunning, understated and effortlessly casual. Our favourite way to dress your table..perfect for a summer garden wedding!

Beautiful, papery, pink peonies.
Also check out her Flower School blogsite here.
How I wish I lived in New York and could join one of these fantastic courses.
“We’ll be hauling buckets and buckets of peonies into the studio come the end of May – join us for an evening to learn about all the varieties and ways to employ this floral queen in bouquets and arrangements for the table. Alongside a host of other late spring material such as thistles, delphiniums, columbine (hopefully! – one of our favorite late spring flowers), green blueberry, nigella, ornamental oregano, garden roses, and more. Each student will make an arrangement to take home in a silver julep-cup style vase.”

How good does that sound! Truly Inspirational

Here are a few results from previous courses they have run. Enjoy!!
