Spellbound in Santorini

When Alexandra and Oliver got in touch they’d already seen our Doily Lace Gatefold design and wanted to add their own personal touches for the ‘on the day stationery’. Alexandra was carefully working through every litte detail with the added problem of the logistics of planning a wedding in Santorini. Whilst searching for laser cut cards, Samantha Greenhalgh found our website and felt our stationery would perfectly compliment a wedding styled shoot she was planning. The theme she said was slightly unusual and would we be interested in sending something special for the shoot! ‘It’s going to be an all white colour shoot with a focus on texture and form with unusual details’ she told us. A vintage bicycle wedding theme It all started on our Pinterest page and the movie ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid’. We were adding more and more photos and soon realised that the seeds of an idea for a new design were starting to grow! The tandem bicycle is one of the most classic romantic symbols. We’ve added in a new colour-way to our Doily Lace laser cut invitation. Eco Craft! So many brides are just loving this card so we thought it was about time we laser cut it, in one of our designs. Peggies…

My dear friend Michelle and creator of the beautiful Betty embroideries has been busy beavering away with Janet Gibson on a new little project. Peggies… peg dolls made from lots of found treasures around their studios and Staunton Harrold woods. From scraps of fabric and lace, old buttons and beads and haberdashery odd items such as old cotton reels to foraged finds around the woods such as acorn cups, feathers, sycamore wings, twigs and branches. There was even one little Peggy with an old watering can flower head as a hat, she looked just like Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady!!…

Charlotte & Tom came to us with a really clear brief, they knew exactly what they wanted and we loved the idea! A bespoke Eco-craft wedding invitation booklet. Laser cut names in a stencil letter style to the front cover, with insert pages including a photo of the lovely couple which you could see through the laser cutting and a printed invite, all stitched together with pretty pink thread. The bespoke invite and RSVP card picked out the pretty green from the photograph with a water coloured wash to the back ground and little leaf embellishments. Much to our excitement they decided…

Luxe Gold

Ksenia and Yassine had found their perfect venue.. ..’The Palace Downtown Dubai’. It was everything they wanted for an amazing setting for a fairytale wedding! They gave us a call with a brief to create a Gatefold style invitation using details from the palace. Here’s the ‘oh so gorg and glamorous’ venue! Ksenia wanted a gold shimmer invitation, so we sent her lots of swatches of gorgeous gold card. They chose the beautiful Gold Leaf card which has a subtle shimmer and matched this with pearl quartz card for the printed inlay and matching envelope. Its been the busiest of all busy wedding seasons, so sorry for the lack of features, new ideas, studio gossip and snap shots of stationery we’ve been creating. I keep asking myself where the time has gone, its been a blur and the studio has been under immense pressure and bursting at the seams with lots of goodies being made, wrapped and sent on their way to weddings across the globe! We’d love to see where some of our invites end up… So with a whole treasure trove of lovelies we can’t wait to share we you we thought we’d kick off with one…
