A Blenheim Palace Fairytale
We’ve had such a busy summer with lots of exciting projects. When Lucy & Daniel got in touch we chatted through their plans and just loved the ideas they were putting together. They had seen our ‘Fairytale Design‘ which they liked but wanted to create something truly bespoke with the same feel as this design.
The stunning Blenheim Palace had been booked for their reception so they felt it would be wonderful to include this as a backdrop and to create their own fairy tale wedding invitation design.
Both Lucy and Daniel are vets and have lots of animals! They wanted to include some of them looking into the scene, like the ‘Animals of Farthing Wood’! So dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens just had to be in the design. They wanted to be able to identify their two Pugs too, one Pug has a proper corkscrew tail, while the Puggle has a slight bend! So sketches of their two pups was critical!

They chose the delicate shade of Pink Dew which was used for the inlay colour and the printing highlights.
Daniel is Welsh and Lucy’s English, so within this magical fairy tale scene they wanted to add in some English roses on one side and some Welsh daffodils on the other, subtly part of the design so guests would have to look closely to find them. So we added roses around Lucy’s side of the design and daffodils around Daniels beneath the trees, arching over creating an intimate and romantic frame.
Then for the most important part the Bride and Groom. They wanted to be holding hands walking towards Blenheim Palace. We of course created a silhouette that wouldn’t give away the style and shape of the Brides dress!
The final detail was a Monogram with a ‘D and L” which was added beneath the design. We also created envelope seal stickers as the perfect finishing touch!
Congratulations Daniel & Lucy.
