2022 Wedding Stationery Trends

Bows Are Back!

After the last two years it’s now time… time for fabulous big bridal festivities – it’s go big or go home!

Couples are turning up the glamour and we’re loving the emerging trends with a touch of Regency grandeur – inspired by Bridgerton no doubt and a sprinkling of 80’s glamour! Brides are ready to go all-out with their dresses, so say goodbye to simple, minimal dresses and hello to bold and beautiful. So how do you do that? Just add a bow, bold and playful bows, big ones, little ones and everything in between. There’s something utterly romantic about a bow, and in 2022 you’re going to see lots of them. Bows are chic, ultra-glamorous, feminine and fashion-forward. Bow-adorned gowns and dresses for brides, bridesmaids, hair accessories and shoes, and all the details from your wedding stationery to your cake can be integrated into your day.

So how does that work with your wedding stationery I can hear you asking!
Here’s a few if our favourite ideas and although not new to wedding trends, bows are re-emerging and will add a whimsical feel without breaking the budget.

The simplicity of the Beau collection is its charm. Beautiful fonts with a big sheer chiffon bow make this one of the most modern romantic new collections we have. This design can be minimal chic or add a bright ribbon and make it fresh and bright.

Big, bold and beautiful satin bows can adorn the Ethereal Garden laser cut gate-fold wedding invitation.

Add a satin bow to a foiled wedding invitation and a vellum wrap, make it utterly stunning!

Bows are getting bigger.. here on our Doily Lace invitation.

And for all your other wedding details, we’ve found some gorgeous inspirational photos that will help you incorporate bows into your day.

Designers have been looking back to the modern romantic 80’s wedding fashion for inspiration, when no bridal gown was complete without a big bow on the back, on the shoulder or around the waist. We’re loving this re-visited trend with it’s modern twist; and with more couples opting for a registry civil service wedding brides are embracing the short wedding dress again, with long trailing veils and of course bows!

Wedding veils come in lots of shapes and sizes. With lengths that include, Cathedral, Church length, Floor length, Ballet, Fingertip and Elbow length and then there’s the Single Tier, Double Tier, Drop Veil, Mantilla, Juliet and Bandeau!!! And each of those can be in different colours, tulle’s, edge finishes, lace and even personalised with embroidery.

Bow wedding veils are new and here’s a few we love inspired by Ariana Grande who showed us the perfect example of how bridal bows are done. Her Vera Wang gown was accessorised with a stunning bow-adorned bubble veil.

Confession time.. I absolutely adore wedding shoes, there’s nothing more enticing than seeing an exciting pair of wedding shoes peeping out from under a brides wedding gown as she walks, and then I have to find out where they are from. More and more bows are being added to the heels and ankle straps, which look great with short and long length dresses.
