Whilst searching for laser cut cards, Samantha Greenhalgh found our website and felt our stationery would perfectly compliment a wedding styled shoot she was planning. The theme she said was slightly unusual and would we be interested in sending something special for the shoot! ‘It’s going to be an all white colour shoot with a focus on texture and form with unusual details’ she told us. We loved the idea and soon we were sharing links to her secret Pinterest board for inspiration! Gothic touches with bones and lace and Sami had found the most stunning ethereal model, just perfect for…

Belvoir Castle Winter Wonderland Wedding

23rd January 2015

Sophie & Sam came to us to create a bespoke design for their wedding stationery. The theme was for a beautiful winter wonderland wedding at the stunning Belvoir Castle. They knew exactly what they wanted so after a few initial sketches we quickly had the design for the Save the Date card. The scene was their summer proposal with Belvoir Castle in the back ground set under a tree in leaf, with their little cat under a sign post with the all important date of the wedding. Save the Date bunting hung in the tree with little hearts, with their initials carved…

11th December 2014

So you’ve decided on tying the knot in winter and you’re thinking about themes. We adore an all-white winter wedding, or perhaps a Scandinavian red and white theme, or even ‘let it snow’ with snowflakes! We’ve recently been inspired and have been dreaming about a ‘Ski Lodge Winter Wonderland’ theme. It would have to start with finding your perfect country barn venue, with long wooden tables, cosy blankets on the chairs for your guests, candles – lots of them in Kilner jars, snow globe table numbers, white twigs and branches, snowflake decorations, pine cones & maybe even a reindeer! Vintage Ski…

15th January 2014

Radiant Orchid Colour trends come and go, sometimes you just have to take them with a little pinch of salt, especially where weddings are concerned! In the last couple of years we’ve had emerald green and tangerine (not the easiest of colours for a romantic wedding.. & trying to get your bridesmaid into a tangerine dress may have  proved slightly difficult!) but this years Radiant Orchid & Dazzling Blue are the colours that experts at Pantone are predicting. Radiant Orchid is a vibrant, rich, pretty purple shade that works perfectly for weddings, from bridesmaid dresses to flowers and accessories, and, of…

Pink Pierrot

15th November 2011

Just had to share this beautiful inspiration board with you, from the wonderful Snippet & Ink blog “Pierrot’s costume was the main inspiration here. His ruffled collar and cuffs inspired a dramatic ruffled wedding gown. The black-and-white palette made me think of whimsical chalkboard typography and calligraphy, but I also added some pale pink for a little romance. Pierrot’s pom poms made me think of this dark chocolate truffle-studded wedding cake, and his painted face translates to real life in the form of black wing-tip liquid eyeliner”. Top row from left: chalkboard art by Dana Tanamachi, vintage Pierrot with mandolin, chocolate truffle…
