A wedding event with a difference!

We’re really pleased to be able to let you all know that we’ll be exhibiting at Save the Date’s ‘Wedding Event with a Difference’ this year. The event takes place at The Roundhouse in Derby on Sunday 14th October, between 10 am & 3.30pm. (You can book tickets now online at savethedateevent.co.uk) We’ll be showing our new laser cut designs (vintage birdcage & whimsical heart) for the first time & we’ll be running a competition to win one of our beautiful laser cut artwork pieces. The Event With A Difference

What a day…on Sunday 16th October we exhibited at the Save The Date Magazine ‘Event with a Difference’ over at The Roundhouse in Derby. What a fantastic venue, and a really interesting mix of wonderful wedding suppliers. Regular fashion shows throughout the day showcased all the beautiful gowns and accessories, and the Teepee outside, which is available to hire as a venue, was converted into a bar and served drinks under the bautiful blue sky!! Abbie & Lydia had put together a wonderful mix of quirky and unusual suppliers, lots of vintage creations and contemporary twists to inspire your big day….

The Designer Vintage Bridal Show

This weekend we popped along to visit the Designer Vintage Bridal Show – a wonderful collection of wedding suppliers: beautiful dresses, vintage crockery, event stylists, wedding shoes, stylish transport, stationery, headpieces, jewellery and all you could possibly need for a vintage themed wedding day! A fantastic event which was buzzing with lots of stylish ladies all wanting a wedding with a bit of difference. Perfect Wedding Awards 2011

We were totally thrilled to win BEST STATIONERY in this years Perefect Wedding Awards! We were invited down to THE SAWN at THE GLOBE (a very lovely location, overlooking the river) the sun was shining for an afternoon of champagne, nibbles and treats….they even had an oyster bar! It was the first award event that they have held and was a great success. We are also featured in this months edition (OCTOBER) in their feature: “10 Questions To Ask Your Stationery Company”!!

Perfect Wedding Awards Winners’ Event!

Right about now Suzi is on a train to London on her way to a very exciting event.. she’s attending the Perfect Wedding Awards to accept our prize as winner of the Best Wedding Stationery category! We are so honoured to receive this award, even more so because it was voted for by you, our customers. The winners’ event is being held at The Swan at The Globe in London (a beautiful location) & is being followed by champagne & afternoon tea. Perfect! Congratulations to all the other Perfect Wedding Award winners! I hope you have a truly fantastic afternoon.

It promises to be a fabulous event with lots happening including the Creative Corner with handmade pieces of pretty, the Lyrical Lounge (tipi tent) outside with live entertainment and a fire pit to keep you toasty. Old Fashioned Tea Party…

With a Wedding fast approaching, it’s just 3 weeks to go, Yikes! I’ve been searching for inspiration for a garden party wedding inspired thank you present. About a year ago I bought a print by the artist Tessa Galloway at a local art exhibition and last night I had a little look at her website to see if anything new caught my eye, and it did! Just the perfect thing. These are just how I would like the sweet tables to look, covered in old table cloths and decked with cake stands and lots of scrumptious and delicious treats like cupcakes, treacle tart and ginger…

Save The Date Wedding Show

Another show success… It was definitely a date to remember at the Save the Date Wedding Fayre in Nottingham last Sunday! Had a brilliant time mingling with the other wedding suppliers there and of course meeting some lovely couples and brides-to-be with their families. A huge thank you to the Save the Date magazine girls for putting together the event and very impressed with the Riverbank Bar and Kitchen as the venue – will definitely be back there for a meal and drinks!
