Paris Love Bridge

Tying a “love lock” on to the Pont des Arts before throwing the key into the River Seine beneath became a true declaration of love. Faye and James, ‘true romantics’ got engaged and added their love lock to the Paris bridge. But part of the bridge’s railings collapsed under the weight last year, so sadly close to one million locks, weighing 45 tonnes were removed. Last February on Valentines Day Faye and James managed to add their 3rd and final lock before they were all taken away.

They asked us to create a design with the bridge to reflect their story with their love lock, the Eiffel Tower and most importantly the key date as a truly unique memento for their wedding invitations! We loved the ornate design of the lamp posts so we just had to add one of those in too.

They chose the beautiful ‘cosmetic’ inlay colour with Old Mill card which is a simply stunning combination. We created a print in the same colour for the RSVP card.

Laser cut A5 size Order of Service booklets were made to match, which hopefully looked a treat in church and would definitely be one that the girls popped in their bags rather than leaving on a pew!

Little laser cut tented place cards too!

Then we made one of our hand bound guest books with their design printed and mounted in the front cover with little transparent vellum shaped envelopes to hold those treasured keepsakes from the day. There’s always some confetti you find hidden in your dress and the little blue bow you want to keep somewhere safe!
